十年相伴  粽情相聚
——蒙纳士华人协会端午联欢暨协会成立10周年纪念活动
蒙纳士华人协会于2026年6月14日在Clayton Community Centre 礼堂成功举办“十年相伴 · 粽情相聚” 纪念活动。这次活动得到多位政要和10多位社团负责人的支持。蒙纳士市市长Stuart James先生、联邦Chisholm选区议员Carina Garland博士、维州Ashwood选区议员Matt Fregon先生、维州Glen Waverley选区议员 John Mullahy 先生分别发表热情洋溢讲话。他们充分肯定蒙纳士华人协会这十年的发展成就，协会已经成为社区有影响的重要社团，表彰了协会为社区多元文化作出了积极的贡献，希望协会一如既往，越办越好。嘉宾们都不忘为会员和参会的所有人送上满满的端午节的祝福。活动精选的十多个多种形式歌咏、舞蹈、太极拳等丰富多彩的节目，给人以优美和快乐的享受。
本次活动除了端午联欢，还包括协会成立10周年的纪念活动。首先是蒙纳士华人协会会长Michael致辞，他回顾了10年来协会经历了很多，在疫情期间一直保持常态良好运转，每周五天七场的网上活动，在老年社团也很少见。10年来协会不断发展壮大，不仅为本社区华人长者提供一个快乐、和谐的活动平台，也为Monash地区的多元文化作出了积极的贡献。接着协会对8位还是协会会员的离任理事和为协会作出重要贡献的老会员进行了表彰，杨原老师作为他们的代表发表了讲话。接着来自祖国四面八方的会员朋友表演了不同地域的家乡风情的节目：京剧、沪剧、粤语歌曲、客家方言小调、江南舞蹈等。
  活动还进行多轮抽奖活动，30 多位会员抽得各项幸运的奖项。联欢和纪念活动在欢乐的氛围圆满中结束。

Ten Years of Companionship, A Joyful Gathering – Monash Chinese Association's Dragon Boat Festival Celebration and 10th Anniversary Celebration

The Monash Chinese Association successfully held its "Ten Years of Companionship, A Joyful Gathering" commemorative event on June 14, 2026, at the Clayton Community Centre Auditorium. This event received support from several political figures and over ten community leaders. Monash Mayor Stuart James, Federal Member of Parliament for Chisholm Dr. Carina Garland, Victorian Member of Parliament for Ashwood Mr. Matt Fregon, and Victorian Member of Parliament for Glen Waverley Mr. John Mullahy delivered enthusiastic speeches. They fully affirmed the Monash Chinese Association's achievements over the past ten years, recognizing it as an influential and important community organization, and commended its positive contributions to the community's multiculturalism. They expressed their hope that the association would continue to thrive. Guests extended heartfelt Dragon Boat Festival greetings to members and all attendees. The event featured over ten carefully selected programs in various forms, including singing, dancing, and Tai Chi, providing a beautiful and joyful experience.

In addition to the Dragon Boat Festival celebration, the event also included a 10th anniversary celebration for the association. First, Michael, President of the Monash Chinese Association, delivered a speech, reviewing the association's many achievements over the past decade. He noted that the association maintained smooth operation even during the pandemic, holding seven online activities five days a week, a rarity among senior communities. Over the past ten years, the association has continuously grown and developed, providing a joyful and harmonious platform for senior Chinese residents and making positive contributions to the multiculturalism of the Monash area. Next, the association recognized eight outgoing directors who are still members and senior members who have made significant contributions to the association. Teacher Yang Yuan spoke on their behalf. Following this, members from all over China performed programs showcasing the unique styles of their hometowns: Peking Opera, Shanghai Opera, Cantonese songs, Hakka folk songs, and Jiangnan dances.

The event also included multiple rounds of lucky draws, with over 30 members winning various prizes. The celebration and commemorative activities concluded successfully in a joyful atmosphere.
